1. Introduction
Welcome to Ushuni woMhaba, a Maskandi, Mbaqanga, Isicathamiya, Afro-Pop and other traditional music singing competition. By entering this competition, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Entrants must be at least 18 years old. 2.2 The competition is open to residents of South Africa. 2.3 Employees, affiliates, and immediate family members of Ushuni woMhaba are not eligible to participate.
3. Entry Requirements
3.1 Entries must be submitted through the official Ushuni woMhaba Google Form. 3.2 Each entrant may submit only one video. 3.3 Videos must be no longer than 5 minutes and must feature the entrant singing a Mbaqanga song. 3.4 Videos should be submitted in MP4 or AVI format. 3.5 The deadline for submissions is [insert date].
4. Content Restrictions
4.1 Videos must be original and not infringe on any third-party rights. 4.2 Content must not be offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate. 4.3 Ushuni woMhaba reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet these criteria.
5. Judging Criteria
5.1 Entries will be judged based on vocal ability, performance quality, and originality. 5.2 Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
6. Prizes
6.1 Prizes will be awarded to the top performers as determined by the judges. 6.2 Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be provided. 6.3 Ushuni woMhaba reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
7. Notification of Winners
7.1 Winners will be notified via email or phone. 7.2 Winners must respond within 7 days of notification to claim their prize. 7.3 If a winner does not respond within this timeframe, Ushuni woMhaba reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
8. Use of Entries
8.1 By entering the competition, entrants grant Ushuni woMhaba the right to use, reproduce, and distribute their video for promotional purposes. 8.2 Entrants agree to participate in any promotional activities related to the competition, including media interviews.
9. Personal Data
9.1 Personal data provided by entrants will be used solely for the purposes of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties. 9.2 Entrants have the right to access and rectify their personal data.
10. Liability
10.1 Ushuni woMhaba is not responsible for any technical issues or failures that may affect the entry process. 10.2 Ushuni woMhaba is not liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in the competition.
11. Changes to Terms and Conditions
11.1 Ushuni woMhaba reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. 11.2 Any changes will be communicated to entrants via the competition website.
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

uShuni Womhlaba Voting Terms & Conditions
- Voting opens every Sunday 00:00 and close Tuesday midnight 00:00 from 11 August till 19 October 2024.08.08
- Votes that are sent after Tuesday midnight will not be allocated to the contestant.
- To vote SMS “Contestant Audition number” (example: To vote for Smangaliso Khuzwayo, SMS “081002” to 44151,).
- SMS’s are charged at a premium rate of R1.50 per SMS. Free minutes and SMS bundles do not apply.
- SMS votes from all SA Mobile networks are allowed. (Vodacom, MTN, CellC, Telkom & Rain).
- No limit on number of votes per subscriber, you may submit as many votes as possible every week to keep your favourite contestant in the competition.
- The decisions of uShuni Womhlaba organisers and its judges are final and may not be challenged. No correspondence will be entertained.
- The uShuni Womhlaba organisers will do everything reasonably practicable to comply with all the relevant laws that they are subject to in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act (4 of 2013),
