The Top 20 contestants have been revealed, after weeks of rigorous selection process.
Since June 2024, Ushuni Womhlaba four regional auditions throughout the country in search for a contestant that will take the number one spot on the first edition of uShunu Womhlaba. Thousands of hopefuls participated in the regional auditions while thousands more auditioned online through the website and social media platforms.
The contestants that made it to the Top 20 are now in Johannesburg, receiving music masterclasses and battling it out for the coveted R50 000 and a recording deal with Gallo Music.
The contestants need your votes in order to stay in the competition!
uShuni Womhlaba Voting Terms & Conditions
- Voting opens every Sunday 00:00 and close Tuesday midnight 00:00 from 11 August till 19 October 2024.08.08
- Votes that are sent after Tuesday midnight will not be allocated to the contestant.
- To vote SMS “Contestant Audition number” (example: To vote for Smangaliso Khuzwayo, SMS “081002” to 44151,).
- SMS’s are charged at a premium rate of R1.50 per SMS. Free minutes and SMS bundles do not apply.
- SMS votes from all SA Mobile networks are allowed. (Vodacom, MTN, CellC, Telkom & Rain).
- No limit on number of votes per subscriber, you may submit as many votes as possible every week to keep your favourite contestant in the competition.
- The decisions of uShuni Womhlaba organisers and its judges are final and may not be challenged. No correspondence will be entertained.
- The uShuni Womhlaba organisers will do everything reasonably practicable to comply with all the relevant laws that they are subject to in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act (4 of 2013),
